Hapag-Lloyd and CMA CGM have announced new rates from Europe to different destinations worldwide, effective from next month.
Hapag-Lloyd will apply increased ocean tariff rates from North and South Europe to the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent for freight of all kinds (FAK) cargo in 20’ and 40’, including high cube, dry, reefer and special containers as well as all hazardous cargo, effective from 1 May.
In addition, CMA CGM will implement the following peak season surcharge (PSS) from Adriatic countries, Italy and Spain to Asia (including South East Asia, North East Asia, China, Hong Kong & Macau SAR).

Destination: Asia (including South East Asia, North East Asia, China, Hong Kong & Macau SAR)
Amount: US$300/reefer container (20′ & 40’RH)
Date of application: 15 May 2021 (date of loading in the origin ports) until further notice

Amount: US$450/reefer container (20′ & 40’RH)

Origin: Spain Med (Algeciras, Barcelona, Valencia)
Destination: Asia (including South East Asia, North East Asia, China, Hong Kong & Macau SAR)
Amount: US$300/reefer container (20′ & 40’RH)

Origin: Spain Atlantic (Bilbao, Vigo)
Destination: Asia (including South East Asia, North East Asia, China, Hong Kong & Macau SAR)

Furthermore, the French shipping group will introduce an rates increase of US$500/dry container from Turkey to South America West Coast, Mexico West Coast & the Caribbean, except of French West Indies from 1 May.
On the same date, CMA CGM will apply an increase of US$200/dry TEU from Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar & Jordan to the same destinations.
